We can take another reason for this addiction is lacking adequate knowledge while applying beauty products. Unfortunately, some people do not know to use beauty products correctly. Some of them buy these products without knowing the application process, pros and cons, etc. So, this lack of knowledge is also a big reason for skincare addiction.

Addiction is a complex condition for human beings. It is a psychological need for a particular object or habit. So, being over passionate about skin is also included in skincare addiction. This addiction can bring harmful effects on health. Some of them are given below.

  • Financially weaken 

Skincare obsession can create acute attraction for purchasing expensive beauty products. It can make any person financially weak. Let’s assume a person has 50$ and is addicted to beauty products. An addicted skincare person will buy with those 50$ any beauty products if he/she saw in front of them. They can’t think of any other thing without those because of their addiction. Thus, they gradually become financially broken.

  • Impairing skin health

Excessive use of beauty products can damage the tissues of skins. According to Dr Rachna, “Many fairness creams also contain steroids which cause skin damage, thinning, redness, color alteration, and acne, apart from hydroquinone or mercury, which have been associated with cancers.” Applying beauty products is not a good solution for skin problems. There are many ways to improve the condition of the skin. Some of them are,

  2. Eating healthy skin foods.
  3. Keeping moisture in the skin.
  4. Sleeping moderately.
  • Addiction does not give happiness

Skincare helps to remain skins in the best shape. Proper application of beauty products glows skin cells and ensures the best look for a person. But the obsession with skincare is not good. It is hard for addicted persons to convince themselves about skins. They are always concerned about their skins. That’s why addiction to skincare does not give peace of mind.

  • Makes relationship worse

Skincare addiction can create savior jealousy to each other, which makes the relationship worse. Most of the time, we can see skincare addiction persons might behave rudely to a fairer person. They always want to become beautiful. If any beautiful person appears before them, they feel very jealous. At that time, they feel terrible inside.
