Tea, the refreshment drink is pretty popular among most of the people all around the world. May it be meeting with loved ones, friends, relatives- tea is the go-with anyone, anytime, anything drink. Ceylon tea: The tea from Srilanka, known as Ceylon tea, has some side effects which may cause teapain. It not only gives stomach pain, but it also has some other health effects like headaches, shakiness, jitters, and insomnia. So, it is advised to take Ceylon tea in a moderate amount.

Black tea: The black tea is the most famous of teas which are prepared in every house. More than milk tea black tea is drunk on most occasions, houses. But even though black teas are considered more than milk tea, it also has some side effects. Having black tea in moderate amount is likely to safe but if taken in excessive amount have some side effects like tea pain along with headache, nausea & vomiting, diarrhoea, arrhythmias (irregular heartbeat), sleep problems, convulsions and confusions.

However, there are also remedies that can help you overcome this type of pain. Some of the home remedies for preventing tea pain are:

Never drink tea on empty stomach

The tea may not be a good idea to be consumed on an empty stomach. Drinking tea on barren stomach dilutes your gastric juices, counteracting you from the digestion of the foods. Which may cause contraction of thestomachs causing excess pain.

Tea in an empty stomach may also cause your body to devour caffeine more comfortably, causing faintness, stress and even feebleness or tingling sensation in your hands and feet. So,it is better to drink a glass of water before having tea or coffee so the caffeine and hazardous chemicals would not affect you adversely.

Keep your tea light

Drinking excess tea may affect both the mental and the physical state. The extreme amount of theophylline and caffeine in tea can affect adversely on the mental state and physical health. Thus, not using much tea, keeping it light can be a solution to avoid tea pain. So light tea is the key to good mental and physical health.

Heat compress

While tea pain occurs in the stomach, heat compress is one of the effective methods to get rid of it. Using a hot water bag or electric pad to your stomach can help to relax your stomach muscles and ease the discomfort.
